Earlier this year my friend and colleague Elizabeth Guizzetti sent me an unexpected invitation. Elizabeth was starting a spooky-story podcast where she would read the submitted stories. “Scary Stories Whispered in the Rain.” Delighted at the prospect, I wrote a story VERY loosely inspired by some memories from my own childhood. Elizabeth accepted my submission of “We Don’t Really Talk About That.” Shortly thereafter I was able to hear my story in her voice – how exciting!
